History & Tradition

Since 1946, St. James Episcopal School has been an educational leader in South Texas, developing children into persons of high character and preparing them to be servant leaders in the local, regional, and global community. St. James and the Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd share a deep history of partnership and fellowship, enjoying a rich heritage of Episcopal tradition. The Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd which has dedicated itself to transforming lives and to serving the needs of the greater community has provided a solid Christian foundation in Corpus Christi for more than 150 years.
